History

Karate Cantley Shotokan began in Cantley under the name Bisson Karate Shotokan, in 1999. The club was originally opened by brothers Andre and Guy Bisson who hold a yodan (4th degree) and sandan (3rd degree) black belts respectively. As with everyone life changes and Andre and Guy have both moved on. In 2007 the management and name of the dojo officially changed. Now the dojo is under the tutelage of Joel Deschenes, with Michel Chartrand, Richard Phillips, Manon Lacroix and Robert St-Laurent assisting. Collectively they have over 35 years of martial arts experience.
